Adopt a Dog
Every dog deserves a safe haven and a family of their own. Our foster homes allow us to get to know each dog’s personality and find the right match for a lifetime of love.

Foster
Fostering is underway, and our first rescue is already settling into a foster home. Open yours to an at-risk shelter dog: we cover veterinary care, food and supplies, and you provide the safe, loving temporary home. We'll keep relying on foster homes even after the sanctuary opens.
Volunteer
Transporting dogs, walking and socializing them, helping at adoption events, fundraising, social media, admin, and one day building the sanctuary itself. A rescue takes many hands, and every skill counts.
Music in the Shelter
Share your love of music with shelter animals! Tillie's Safe Haven is launching our Music in the Shelter program in January 2027. We're seeking volunteer musicians, including solo performers and small chamber ensembles, to bring calming, live music to animals awaiting their forever homes.
Serve on our board
Board members provide leadership, oversight and strategic direction, and help with fundraising and community outreach. If you'd like to serve in a governance role, we'd love to hear from you.
Donate supplies
Food, bedding, crates, cleaning supplies and building materials all help. Shop our Chewy or Amazon wish list to ship exactly what the dogs need, or tell us below what you can give and we'll coordinate.

If you shop at Kroger, you can support our rescue efforts simply by linking your Kroger Shopper’s Card to Tillie’s Safe Haven. Once you enroll, your eligible purchases help generate donations to our organization—at no additional cost to you.
How to Enroll
- Sign in to your Kroger account.
- Go to My Account.
- Select Community Rewards from the menu.
- Search for Tillie's Safe Haven or enter our organization code JJ007.
- Select Tillie's Safe Haven and enroll.
That’s it! Once your account is linked, just shop as you normally do and use your Kroger Shopper’s Card or Alternate ID at checkout. Kroger will make donations to Tillie’s Safe Haven based on purchases made by supporters enrolled in the program.
Your everyday grocery shopping can help us provide food, veterinary care, supplies, transportation and other essential support for dogs at risk in local shelters.

- Is Tillie's Safe Haven open yet?
- We're an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and our foster program is up and running: our first rescue dog has arrived in foster care. The physical sanctuary comes as we raise funds for land and facilities. Follow along and you'll see every milestone as it happens.
- Where are you located?
- We're based in Marietta, Georgia, serving the metro Atlanta and North Georgia area.
- What kinds of animals will you take in?
- We're starting with dogs at high risk in local shelters, including those facing euthanasia due to space, age, or medical needs. As we build the capacity to care for them well, we'll expand to cats and other animals.
- How can I adopt or foster?

- Directly into the mission: supporting foster homes and building toward land and facilities. As an approved 501(c)(3), your gift may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You can give through Zeffy — a fee-free platform, so 100% of your gift reaches us — or through our GoFundMe campaign.
